Opening for blues legend Otis Clay, Root Doctor brought the Motown hometown crowd to it's feet at the conclusion of their set at the 2007 Detroit International Jazz Festival. Their current album, Been A Long Time Coming, sold out before the band could even make it from the stage to the merchandise tent for autographs!

Saturday, September 1st was a great day for lovers of the Hammond B3 as organissimo's Jim Alfredson, Gerard Gibbs, and the legendary Gene Ludwig took the stage for three long sets with their respective bands as part of the 2007 Detroit International Jazz Festival. At the end of the night all three organists took turns on the Hammond organ, culminating in a six-hand Hammond extravaganza finale! organissimo's set included some smokin' renditions of their acclaimed original tunes.
